Grasstravaganza Event - A Celebration of Grasses - Author Lecture and Plant Sale - October 29th, 2011

Neil Lucas is a leading ornamental grass specialist and owner of Knoll Gardens nursery and show gardens. Located in Dorset, England, the gardens are renowned for their naturalistic appeal. His recently established Knoll Gardens Foundation is devoted to educating gardeners on sustainable practices. A nine-time winner of the Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medal, he has written for several horticulture publications and delivers lectures on grasses worldwide.

Native Sons is pleased to host the first California presentation by Neil Lucas for his new book “Designing With Grasses.” We invite you to join us for a lecture and book signing by the author followed by a plant sale featuring dozens of ornamental grasses, many of them in convenient four inch size containers. Specimen-sized grasses will also be available for sale during this event, along with all of our regular nursery stock.

Event details:
Saturday 29 October 2011 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm at Native Sons. Lecture begins promptly at 9:00 am. Please arrive early in order to park and find your seat. Plant sales will begin directly following the lecture. Please bring a wagon or cart to collect your goodies! Light refreshments will be provided; please bring a cup/mug/re-usable bottle to lighten the impact on the environment.
