Columbine. Aquilegia canadensis 'LIttle Lanterns' has a smaller form than most columbines, growing to 8 to 10 inches with an equal spread. The nodding red and yellow flowers top the blue-green leaves from early spring to summer for us. It is best in full sun along the coast and partial shade in inland areas. 'Little Lanterns' is useful in containers, perennial borders, or as an accent in meadow plantings. Hardy to 0F.
