Creeping holly. Low, and slowly spreading to 12" high and 2-3’ across. Spreads by underground stems. Foliage is a dull green and small clusters of yellow flowers in early spring are followed by dark purple fruit. Plant in full sun or partial shade and give moderate moisture--needs little summer water once well established. Hardy to 0 F and below. Western North America.
