Calamint. Upright perennial or subshrub to 3’ with rounded green leaves that smell strongly of mint. The abundant, tiny flowers bloom throughout summer and attract bees by the droves. The dried leaves may be used to make a delectable herbal tea. May also be sold as C. nepeta var. nepeta. Plant in full sun in well drained soil and provide moderate water. Hardy to 15F. Southern Europe. Formerly Calamintha nepetoides.
