Golden-edged sedge. Another clumping sedge, this one with exceptionally fine olive-green leaves to 2’ long forms a dense mound 18-24” tall. The arching blades are outlined with golden-yellow and sparkle delightfully when backlit by the late afternoon sun. Small, inconspicuous flowers bloom on slender stems. Plant in full or part shade, in moist, well-drained soils. Plants will tolerate moderate sun in coastal gardens. Use massed beneath sycamores and oaks in combination with ferns and other shade-loving perennials. Hardy to 10F. Asia.
