Wire netting bush. Slow-growing shrub to 8’ tall for full sun or partial shade. Tolerant of alkaline soil and seaside conditions. It has been argued that the reduced apical dominance and cage-like tangle of branches evolved to protect the tender leader from grazing moas, large flightless birds which have been extinct for over 100 years. Interesting container plant with fragrant, star-like yellow flowers in late spring.
