Lavandula angustifolia ‘Hidcote’

English lavender. Exceptional dwarf form growing to 1’ tall with an equal spread and bearing aromatic gray foliage held at right angles to the stems. Tall spikes held above the foliage produce masses of densely arranged, dark purple flowers from mid to late-summer. A favorite for arrangements as the dried flowers retain their rich color. Hardy to below 0F. Originally from Major Lawrence Johnston at Hidcote Manor prior to 1950. Deer resistant.
