This grass will tolerate a lot: drought, air pollution, heat and humidity, clay soil, and a little shade. Too much shade will cause plants to flop. Clumps spread slowly on short rhizomes but will keep their clumping habit. Cut all the way down to crown in late winter, before new shoots come up. Foliage may fturn to a tan color after frost.
Seeds are sterile, non-invasive.
