Dense form of coffeeberry selected by Roger Raiche from San Bruno Mountain just south of San Francisco. Tightly branched with dark green leaves that are narrower than is typical for the species. Spring flowers are cream-colored and develop into maroon fruits that are attractive to a wide range of birds. Mature plants will reach a height of 5’ with an equal spread but can be pruned to maintain a smaller size. One of the most garden tolerant native shrubs available in our experience and can be used in both sun and shade. Drought tolerant once established but fully compatible with regular garden water. Hardy to 10F.
