Similar to S. 'Black and Blue', this striking variety exhibits black calyxes and stunning dark purple blossoms. The growth pattern for this hybrid is slightly more compact with less root spread than its parent, s. guaranitica. Cut back in early spring at first sight of new growth to encourage vigorous flowering through fall. These beauties are hummingbird magnets! Drought tolerant once established.
