No shrub we grow has been as perplexing as this golden-leafed beauty. Listed in the trade as a dwarf, a mid-sized shrub and a 20’ small tree, no one seems to be able to decide on just how high ‘Madonna’ reaches. But just about everyone agrees on the heavenly nature of the foliage. Depending on the season and the exposure the green and gold variegation may be more or less intense, but it’s always glorious. Use in sun or part shade as a contrast among green-leafed companions. Hardy to 0F. Europe and North Africa.
