Japanese spiraea. Deciduous dwarf shrub to 15” grown for its displays of attractive crimson flowers borne in flat panicles throughout summer. The dark olive-green leaves are crinkled and coarsely serrated. Best in full sun and well-drained, moisture-retentive soil. Useful in rock gardens or containers. Not a particularly vigorous selection but interesting, and we refuse to give up on this handsome little shrub. Moderate water. Hardy to 0F. Japan, China.
