Little seen in the horticulture trade, here is a plant that we strongly feel deserves more attention from California gardeners. An evergreen shrub growing 4-6’ tall with an equal spread, it is reminiscent of our native manzanitas in both its coloration and its form. The small glossy green leaves are heavily tinted with bronze and small pink fruits in spring and summer develop into round coffeberry-like fruits. Plant in full sun in well-drained soils and provide moderate water. Hardy to 15F. Chile.
