Red New Zealand sedge. Mahogany-colored tufts to 16” high, turning brilliant orange-red in winter. Winter color is not as distinctive in mild climates. Full sun or part shade especially in hotter climates. Moisture retentive soil and regular garden water produce much more satisfactory specimens. Suitable as an accent plant or along pools or shady borders. Hardy to 10F. New Zealand.
